Dr. Bisher Abdullah graduated from Damascus University School of Medicine in 1989. He has been certified with the American Board of Pediatric Gastroenterology and American Board of Pediatrics since 1995. Dr. Abdullah has served Residency in the Medical College of Ohio, and Fellowship in Riley Children's Hospital and Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Abdullah has provided care in the South Puget Sound since 1998 and entered private practice in 2014.
Dr. Heather Buckle graduated from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington earning her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She earned the Baccalaureate of Science from the University of Washington in Microbiology. Dr. Buckle is certified as a Fellow in the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology. Dr. Buckle served Residency at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago from 2008-2010 and served as staff at the same facility from 2010-2014. She is excited to have returned to the Pacific Northwest entering into private practice, with the philosophy that GI health is the pinnacle to finding health and balance in the body.
Our care model includes the collaborative care of a board certified MD, ND, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nutritionist and Certified Critical Care Pediatric RN. Busy with coordinating your care and keeping our clinic running smoothly, you will find skilled certified Medical Assistants who we depend on. Our practice continues to grow and support the specialized treatment of weight and feeding difficulties, food allergies, IBD, fructose malabsorption, chronic GI illness and a wide range of pediatric issues . We continue to see remarkable outcomes for our patients. We offer on site laboratory services and are excited to now offer on site infusion services as we continue to grow and serve our pediatric community.
Raneem Alkhatib MSN, CN
Raneem was born in Jerusalem and moved to the USA when she was 12 years old. She always had an interest in nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, which made her earn a Master's Degree in Clinicial Nutrition. Her background is focused in Functional and Holistic Nutrition and her approach focuses on Functional medicine with an individualized approach. The focus recognizes that chronic diseases start with a slow, declining function in one or more of the body's systems. Raneem graduated with high honors as valedictorian with a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition and has worked in the field for the last four years. Experience includes work as a Clinical Research Associate for multiple studies and teacher of High School Biology and Middle School science. Her expertise in Clinical Nutrition includes: Digestive health; celiac disease, food sensitivities, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, inflammatory bowel, dysbiosis and more. Hormonal health focus includes: thyroid, endometriosis, PMS, PMDD, menopause, low testosterone, adrenal fatigue, depression/anxiety, fibromyalgia, autoimmunity, cancer nutrition, multiple sclerosis, eczema, psoriasis and cystic acne. In her free time, she enjoys travel, dance, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Heidi Elliott RN, CCRN
Heidi is a certified Critical Care Pediatric Registered Nurse. Heidi has worked as a Pediatric Nurse since 2002 and brings extensive experience and knowledge from the hospital and critical care setting. As part of our patient care team in the clinic, Heidi provides care for advanced care patients and also has pioneered the opening of co-owned Pediatric Infusion Services LLC, located in our Puyallup office. Heidi manages our infusions offering professional experience infusing biologicals, biosimilars, iron infusions, IV hydration, Meyers Cocktails, vitamin and mineral infusions, as well as providing patient and family teaching with subcutaneous injections of biologicals and biosimilars.
Anita Loehmer MSN, AGACNP-BC
Anita is a Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Walden University with a Masters in Nursing as well as a graduate of Chamberlain College School of nursing in Chicago and the University of Southern Maine. Anita comes to us with extensive experience with a background in Registered Nursing for over 20 years working as an educator and leader in the acute care setting as well as critical care, emergency medicine, trauma, working also in an open heart unit as well as recovery room nursing. Anita holds national certifications with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Certifications include BLS, ACLS and CCRN.
Anita has a strong desire to be part of gastroenterology using the holistic approach to diagnose, treat and manage digestive health problems through integrative medicine. Anita enjoys working with patients and giving them guidance through treatment plans using this model.
Anita enjoys spending time with her husband and children as well as her dog Doodles. She also enjoys traveling, yoga, orange theory and the beautiful northwest outdoors.
